Tutorial - How to make a Paper Rose with template

Hi Everyone!

Today I am going to share the tutorial on how to make a paper rose. It is very easy and the results are very very pretty. It is made using a 5 petal flower punch. But in case you do not have that punch with you I am also sharing the method to make a template for the same. With the help of this template you will be able to make these flowers again and again easily.

Please find below the tutorial for both the template and the making the rose:

Material Requited:
For Template:

  • Paper
  • Compass
  • Scissors/Paper cutter
  • glue
For Rose:
  • Paper
  • Scissors/Paper cutter
  • Glue
  • Distress Ink/Glitter
  • Toothpick/any thin stick
FOR TEMPLATE
STEP 1:
Make and cut 1 circle of 3 inch diameter and 5 circles of 1 inch diameter.

STEP 2:
Stick the 1 inch circles on to the 3 inch circle in such a manner that they are equidistant from the center of 3" circle.

STEP 3: Now, cut on the outer outline. Trace this on a thick paper and cut. Your template is ready to use!

FOR ROSE
STEP 1:
For one rose, cut 3 paper using the template/punch.

STEP 2:
Cut them as shown below to make 5 pieces.

STEP 3:
Ink the edges, as shown below:

STEP 4:
Curl them using the stick, as shown below:

STEP 5:
Roll every piece and glue them, as shown below:

STEP 6:
On the biggest piece with 5 petals, put some glue in the center.
Cut a the center of the 4 petal piece and stick to above. As shown below:

Continue doing the same with other pieces. Make sure you are cutting the center of every petal before sticking it. The amount of paper cut in the center ahould keep increasing with every piece. By the time you stick the last petal (single petal) which forms the center, you will have to cut almost half of its bottom.

The final rose will look like this. You can add it to any of your crafting projects.

I hope you like this tutorial, if you have any query please leave a comment below. I would love to see the flowers that you make using this tutorial, so please post the pics below!
Till then,
Have Fun and Keep Crafting!
